The UK Net Zero Business Census
Help us understand how much progress UK organisations have made on getting to net zero by taking the Census survey.
The UK Net Zero Business Census is the largest national research initiative of its kind, delivered by UK Business Climate Hub in partnership with Planet Mark and a coalition of business associations, large corporates and media outlets.
About the Census
The UK Net Zero Business Census will establish a definitive benchmark for the private sector’s progress on net zero, helping to inspire action, inform policy-making and tackle climate change.
The exercise will then be repeated annually to track progress and guide government and industry on the support and resources that businesses need to advance.
What is net zero?
The UK Climate Act (2019) established a national 2050 net zero target in law. In practice, this means that organisations need to reduce carbon emissions in line with science-based targets. Most industries will need to cut at least 90% of their total emissions before 2050.
